Alilaguna is a public transport company operating in the water transport sector in Venice, offering lagoon connections between Marco Polo Airport, the historic center of Venice and the main islands of the lagoon.
From birth to the present: A journey through the lagoon
The birth of Alilaguna dates back to the late 1990s, when the company was founded by a group of tour operators with the aim of offering a direct and efficient transport service between Venice Marco Polo Airport and the city center, avoiding the inconveniences of land traffic and offering passengers a memorable travel experience in the lagoon.
And so was born the first scheduled public transport service, operated by private company, in Venice with the Red Line connecting the airport, Murano, Lido and St. Mark's Square.
After the years, Alilaguna has expanded its network of lines, connecting the city to its airport in an increasingly widespread manner. Thanks to its stable and reliable transportation services, Alilaguna has become a popular choice for tourists and residents wishing to travel to the airport or the mainland, or simply move along its network of lines. The network of ticket offices with dedicated staff also ensures constant and direct support for users, which helps make the travel experience even easier and smooth.
The company has continued to grow and improve over the years, introducing new stops, new boats and additional services to meet the needs of passengers. Today, Alilaguna represents an established reality in the lagoon, trying to ensure convenience, punctuality and a unique experience for its passengers.

Our effort for Sustainability
Since its beginning, Alilaguna has aimed to offer an efficient and environmentally friendly transportation service, seeking to reduce the environmental impact of its activities. In recent years, the company has stepped up investments in hybrid electric and hydrogen-powered boats, with the aim of reducing pollutant emissions and promoting sustainable mobility in the lagoon.
